Countrywide: 16 acquisitions in six months

Following the latest 16 acquisitions Countrywide's tally of new agencies since 2008 is now over 70, breaking down to over 320 branches.

Countrywide began the year with the acquisitions of Tucker Gardner in Cambridgeshire, and full service lettings agency Personal Homefinders in Hampshire.

In March it expanded its already large portfolio of lettings agents in Manchester with the acquisition of Curtis Bains in the city centre.

It then entered new territory in Kent by acquiring Milton Ashbury in Ramsgate and Margate in June, and moved further into the south west with the purchase of NCT in Penzance, and Jayne & Moss in Paignton and Torquay.

Further acquisitions include the portfolio of APW in Surrey, Jonathan Reese in Romsey, Nest in Nottingham, Regal in Rainham and Sittingbourne, The Flat Managers in Cheltenham, Griffiths Charles in Worcester, Holmes Pearman in Basildon and Billericay, Duck & Hedges in south west London, Let Lucas in Banbury and Thomas James in Nottingham.
